About the Artist:
Born in Paris in 1936, Alain Pontecorvo studied at the École des Arts Décoratifs and the Estienne School before launching a career in advertising. In 1976, he returned fully to painting, developing a style that blends hyperrealism with romantic introspection. His work spans figures, interiors, and still lifes, and is held in major collections including the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris and New York
